A favorite holiday is St. Martin's Day. In remembrance of the 4th century bishop, it begins with a children’s lantern procession through the town that begins in the morning. It culminates with a meal of roasted goose, the animal symbol of St. Martin. Admission to the event is free, but make your reservation at a local restaurant well in advance for the goose dinner.
