Mass Hysteria

Hailing from Paris Mass Hysteria is an alternative metal band that combines heavy metals sounds with elements of alternative rock, industrial electronic music and rap. Formed in 1993, the band released its debut albumLe Bien-être et la Paix, in 1997, followed by its breakthrough record,Contraddiction, which was released in 1998 with its signature industrial metal sound. Mass Hysteria entered the new millennium with 2001'sDe Cercle en Cercle, earning mixed reviews for its elements of pop and rap. Eventually the band returned to its roots in 2007 withUne somme de détails, and has since been steadily releasing albums of alternative metal sounds.
