New York City native Sean Hayes is a singer/songwriter and guitarist whose brand of modern folk music is colored with his upbringing in North Carolina and his travels across the US. Inspired by Americana and traditional Irish music, he spent his early days as a musician playing in a band called Boys of Bluehill before making his way through the South, crafting a distinctive folk rock sound and eventually finding his way to San Francisco. Hayes released his debut studio album, A Thousand Tiny Pieces, in 1999, and has been releasing a steady stream of records from his Bay Area home ever since.
