Sue Foley is a Canadian blues musician from Ottawa, Canada who arrived on the scene with her 1992 debut album, Young Girl Blues. Raised in a blue collar family, Foley grew up listening to her father play traditional Irish folk songs and made the decision to dedicate her life to songwriting when she was 15, after seeing the legendary bluesman James Cotton. By the time she was 16, she was playing professionally around Ottawa, and by 21, she was living in Austin, Texas and recording for the revered blues label Antone's Records.
