Around the time of the Canadian Brass' formation in 1970, the concept of a standalone horn quartet with no supplemental instrumentation or vocal accompaniment had yet to be explored. Since then, the lineup has evolved and expanded but founding member Dr. Charles Daellenbach still has control of the group's reins, conducting trumpets, tubas and trombones through well-known pop, jazz and classical standards. Stylistically, Canadian Brass' members are easily identifiable in their formal, black suits with casual, white sneakers.
