Catharina Agatha Maria Schouten, known professionally as Tineke Schouten, is a Dutch comedian hailing from Utrecht. Also a trained vocalist, she won her first competition ever at just 14 years old. She gained recognition while working as an assistant to famed comedian Herman Berkien. Her single "Lenie uit de Takkestraat" broke into numerous top 10 charts and catapulted her into the limelight. She soon booked gigs for her one-woman show where she showcased her talent as a singer, actor, mime and comedian. In 2005, Schouten was dubbed as an Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau. In addition to her successful career in the performing arts, Schouten also tours theaters all over the country with her own orchestra.
