The Tennessee Smokies is an American minor league baseball team playing in the Southern League and is the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. The franchise is a member of the North Division and hosts its home games at Smokies Park in Kodak, Tennessee. Though the team has relocated and had several different Major League affiliations since it was founded in 1936, it has remained linked to the Cubs since 2007. Several star MLB players have passed through the franchise, including Rick Ankiel, Roy Halladay, Jeff Kent, Kerry Wood and Fred McGriff.
