Sportfreunde Stiller is a rock/pop band from a small town in Bavaria, in Germany. The band was founded in 1996 and the band's name refers to their former football manager, Hans Stiller and the term Sportfreunde means "friends of sports". The band plays a soft rock sound consisting lyrics about love, the daily grind but also political topics like anti-fascism. Their biggest success was the fan hymn for the German World Cup Team "54, '74, '90, 2006" in 2006, becoming a number one hit.
