Join us for a wonderful morning of painting with portrait artist and wildlife painter, Suzanna Winton. This class is designed as an introduction to the joys of watercolor painting, but all levels will benefit from Winton’s expert instruction. Winton has been painting in watercolor for 30 years and travels the US leading workshops and artist’s retreats in watercolor and oils. She is the author of "Realistic Watercolor Portraits" and has won countless regional and national awards and accolades for her works.
The focus of this class will be painting native birds and participants will have the choice of painting the beautiful indigo bunting or a stunning woodpecker. Winton will share her special techniques in capturing detail and her extreme talent for creating color recipes using a limited palette resulting in a stunning painting you will be proud to display in your home.
The class is from 9 a.m. to noon and will be held in the Learning Center. The fee is $65 and all supplies for the class will be provided for you.
For an additional $10 fee, you will receive a voucher to tour the Main House and view the wildlife art collection, which includes 33 first edition John James Audubon prints of birds native to this region.
