If you consider yourself to be a history buff, traces of the Roman settlement on the cathedral hill can be witnessed at the Pyramide am Munsterplatz. During 300 AD, a sturdy pyramid-shaped structure was built by the Romans to protect them from German attacks. This excavation site is now a tourist attraction where guided tours are provided every Monday and Friday where the visitors can discover interesting details underground.
