Civita di Bagnoregio is a quaint Italian town, boasting a unique and untouched topology. Built on a bed of volcanic rock, soft clay and a plateau of volcanic tuff, the town overlooks the Tiber River. So fast has been the decline that the boyhood home of Saint Bonaventure fell off the precipice. The sequestered town is accessible solely via a pedestrian footbridge.
