The Thousand Islands Playhouse enjoys a stunning waterfront setting at the edge of the Saint Lawrence River. Located in Gananoque, this beautiful summer theater has been regularly hosting stage production musicals since its conception in 1981. It was founded by a group of regional actors who graduated from Queen's University. The venue comprises of two theaters - the larger Springer Theater that showcases musicals, and the Firehall Theater which is where avante-garde play productions are showcased. In the past, the Thousand Islands Playhouse has hosted brilliantly executed musicals such as Into The Woods, A Grand Time in the Rapids and In a Blue Moon.
