About 45 miles south of Tucson off Interstate 10, lies the historic Tumacácori National Historical Park. This ancient park is divided into three parts that include the ruins of the Spanish communities. The Tumacácori Museum is also a part of this complex from where you will gain meaningful insights into the missions and revel in the spectacular artwork of the famous artist, Herbert A. Collins. Today, an annual history festival tells the story of the mission. During the first Saturday and Sunday of December, visitors can watch demonstrations of pottery, weaving and other Native American or Spanish arts.
