A celebrated sporting venue, the Newcastle Racecourse has been hosting fiercely-contested derbies since its inception the year 1882. A darling of the rich and the famous, the Bank Holiday meetings always tend to be the most exciting, as punters throng all across the course urging their favorite horses to find that extra yard of pace to reach the finish line before their rivals do. As one would expect, the course has plenty of bars and restaurants on site, along with a myriad of amusements to keep the kids occupied while adults focus on the business at hand.
