Hotel Elisabetha is situated very close to Hanover's zoo and has very good transport links within the city. The distance to the center of town is merely 1.5 kilometers (one mile) and it takes but a few minutes on the public transport system to reach the Messe (Hanover's conference and exhibition center). The hotel itself is not fancy, but instead offers a central but relatively noise free-location for unbeatable prices. Some of the rooms do not have access to en suite shower and toilet facilities but the standards are high, all are clean and well kept. Due to the lack of in-house restaurants, guests must venture away from the hotel to have dinner, but Hanover has no shortage of restaurants to choose from.
