Narrow lanes lead through the lovely Old Town, which was erected on a hill. In the tiny white houses are found galleries and shops where skilled artisans and souvenir dealers offer their wares. The heart of the historical town centre is the Church of Our Lady of Consolation with its strikingly blue domes. Relaxing cafés and restaurants line the beautiful boardwalk of the pleasant holiday resort. The beach itself, however, is a mixture of sand and mostly pebbles.
