Numerous towers dominate the historic city center of Vöcklabruck. The two town towers of the medieval fortification complex are the landmarks of the city. The Maria Schöndorf Church also has two towers. They do not stand next to each other, as would normally be the case, but rather behind each other. A Baroque jewel is the Aegidius Church, which was converted in the late 17th century into a cross-in-square church. The interiors of the edifice are adorned in a fresco cycle by the artist Carlo Antonio Bussi.
