Trim Castle is an imposing Norman structure built on the south bank of the river Boyne. The medieval castle is now in ruins, but is still architecturally significant du to its surviving curtain walls, the south wall called Dublin Gate, the great hall and a group of lime kilns. The castle is open to public, and guided tours are available once a day.
