Established in the year 1902, Kunstmuseum Solothurn also known as Art Museum Solothurn is an art museum in Solothurn, Switzerland. Initially, for over seven decades the museum showcased exhibits related to the arts, historical artifacts, and natural history objects of the town. This collection was replaced around 1980 by collections from the old-masters, Swiss Landscapes from the 18th to 20th century, Swiss Contemporary art, and two separate collections of gifts from collectors which exist even today. Around the same time, the museum was also offered for short-period exhibitions of contemporary art which are organized at this venue to date.
