A unique landmark rising high on Mount Bonifato, Castello dei Ventimiglia is a historic castle consisting of four towers and a chapel built in the 14th century by the Ventimiglia family. This was purposely built on the mountain for defense purpose. Offering great views of the old town, the structure dominates the square. Today, the castle is open as a museum and divided into four sections – archaeological, urban, gallery and sacred art.
