The wealth of the region and patrons such as the king made it possible to build the church in the luxuriant style of the Flamboyant Gothic in 1488. So the facade which is flanked by two towers exhibits rich sculptured decoration as well as an elaborately carved oak door. However construction was stopped in 1539 owing to a financial shortage. As a result the last section of the building, the choir of the church, which is named after Saint Wulfram whose relics rest here, was not completed until the 17th century.
