The Struthof was a concentration camp among the thousand that existed under Hitler's rule. The camp was officially opened on April 21, 1941. Approximately 52,000 deportees belonging to different nationalities were registered at the Struthof camp. Thousands of them became the victims of the abuses inflicted by the Nazis. Today, the memorial museum at this site offers tours that exhibit photos, documents, original objects, and drawings depicting the devastating scene at this location.
