Located at the opening of the Nivelle River, Port de Saint-Jean-de-Luz is set in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. Take a walk along this bustling port and you will find a wide range of fishing boats like trawlers docked here. Until the 15th century, boats that were used to hunt whales were moored here. Now the fishermen in the area mostly go looking for fish like anchovies, tuna and sardines. Some of the other interesting attractions to explore in the area are Place Louis XIV, Grande Plage and Jardin Botanique Littoral Paul Jovet.
