One of the largest cities in Thompson-Nicola Regional District, Kamloops is regularly referred to as the "Tournament Capital of Canada", as it serves as a host to several tournaments. In past events such as the Canada Summer Games (1993), the 4 Nations Cup (2014), Western Canada Summer Games (2011) and many more. Moreover, Kamloops is also home to McArthur Island Park, which is also regarded amongst one of Canada's largest skateboard parks.
