Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is an 18-acre (7.28 hectares) waterfront area which was inaugurated in 1965. It includes 35 buildings which feature interactive displays, photographs and various artifacts which depict life in and around the Chesapeake Bay. They have one of the largest floating fleet collection in the state and showcase exhibits explaining the science and economy of the bay. They also have one of the largest collection of Chesapeake Bay boats and showcase methods to harvest seafood. Visitors can also relish on some delicious seafood delicacies within the premises.
