Lake Metroparks Farmpark is a must visit for those touring Kirtland with their little ones. Covering more than 200 acres (80 hectares) of lush green land, this park is home to several farm animals like pigs, horses, rabbits, llamas and more. Through their Plant Science Center, and activities like planting and harvest, cow milking, maple sugaring, corn grinding and sheep shearing, Lake Metroparks Farmpark aims to educate children as well as adults about the evolution of agriculture. Additionally, children can enjoy wagon rides, and interact with farm animals throughout their visit. Lake Metroparks Farmpark is also home to a playground, and a maternity ward where baby animals are taken care of.
