The Nelson House is an 18th-century building that stands as a stunning example of Georgian architecture. It also is a reminder of the role of Thomas Nelson, Jr., one of the state's most influential individuals. The building retains most of its original architectural features, however, the furnishings are reproductions of period pieces. The house is open to the public but the hours vary, hence, call before you visit.
