Margam Park is a stunning country estate with over 800 acres of landscaped grounds around a Gothic mansion, flanked by an orangery and gardens. You can boat and fish on the lakes, spy deer in the woods and visit a stunning fuchsia collection in the former Citrus House. There are plenty of activities for children, as well as a fairyland playground (for under-eights only), a hedge maze and giant chess board, a brand new adventure play area modeled on a medieval castle has also opened. A hundred children can play on it at any one time including children with disabilities. A varied program of events and shows run through the peak season and the park hosts occasional rock concerts too; Elton John has played there.
