Designed by Matti Suuronen in the late 1960s, this prefabricated house, Futuro House, was meant to resemble a flying saucer. With its ellipsoid shape, standing on metal pilotis and elliptical windows, its resemblance to a flying saucer, straight out of contemporary science fiction from the 1960s, was very uncanny. Measuring 13 feet (4 metres) high and 26 feet (8 metres) in diameter, it is sought after by collectors the world over.
