The Matrix played a vital role in the initial stages of the rock music scene in San Francisco. This iconic place though long closed in 1972, has remained an integral part in the heart of rock music lovers in the city. Set in its former place, White Rabbit is an ode to its venerable past. Named after a song by Jefferson Airplane, its chic, parlor-inspired space is casual yet modern with pink and gray armchairs, cozy couches and teal bar stools. The white rabbit art add character to the place. There is a wall shelf full of vinyls including contemporary music as well. Tipple on straightforward cocktails, rotating craft beers and rose wine while noshing on tidbits. During weekends, you can sway to the beats of the DJ with everything from rock to funk and anything in between.
