The amphitheater was built between the 1st and 2nd centuries CE, but was later covered by the foundations of other buildings. The theater could accommodate around 25,000 spectators and features an arena constructed partly on rocks and partly on quadratum arches, showcasing its magnificent architecture. However, much of the theater remains underground, making it impossible to view the entire structure. Another notable feature of the theater is a high wall decorated with battle scenes involving men and animals. Over the years, the arena has hosted performances by both ancient and modern authors.
