Pforzheim

Situated at the confluence of Enz, Nagold and Wurm, the city of Pforzheim is one of the most flourishing and prosperous cities of the state. Known for its prosperous jewelry and watch-making industry, the city has earned the moniker of "Golden City". Restored with contemporary architecture post the Second World War, Pforzheim is no less than a phoenix that rose from the ashes. While majority of the buildings were destroyed after the war, a lot of them like the Hachel Tower and St.Michael's Monastery and Church to name a few, are still well-preserved. Museums showcasing the city's rich jewelry trade and also the local history are a must-visit. With so much to offer, the city is a spectacular socio-cultural and architectural hub of Baden-Wurttemburg.
