Founded as a town in the 14th Century, Bad Mergentheim is one of the most picturesque and historically rich towns. Serving as the headquarters of the Teutonic Order for two centuries, the Bad Mergentheim has been prosperous and significant since its inception. The internationally recognized spa facility equipped with mineral spring baths is one of the major features of the town that attracts tourists all year. The cobbled streets and quaint cottages lead the visitors to one of the most defining landmarks of the town, the Schloss Mergentheim. The medieval castle once housed the greatest knights from the Teutonic Order and also boasts of a spectacular English style garden.
