Angermünde

Angermünde is unique among many picturesque tourist towns in the region because it did not face any damage during the World Wars. As a result, most of the historic structures are intact, making it a place of great heritage. Stroll through the Old Town paved with cobbled streets and witness the bricked walls, rustic, centuries old, shingled houses made of timber, and a lot more. What's more, the town is part of a region that is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, housing rare animals such as the Skudden sheep, Mangalitza pigs, endangered European pond turtles and more. Angermünde also has hiking and biking trails to keep the active ones happy and occupied.
