TOURIST ATTRACTIONS & SIGHTSEEING, PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Beeskow, a town of important cultural significance, is a small, river-bound area that serves as the capital of the Oder-Spree region. The major attraction is the Burg Beeskow, a behemoth of a castle characterized by red-bricked walls and slanted, shingled roof. The castle houses the salt museum and an art gallery. It is also home to the Musikmuseum that houses a unique collection of old musical instruments such as pianos. Another attraction is the Alteste House, perhaps the oldest house in town, where you get a firsthand experience of the town's history, free of charge.
