Opened in the year 2015, LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura is an outstanding venue for performing arts and live music. Home of the renowned Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, the cultural center is also the focal point of the stage theater festival LuganoInScena and music fest LuganoMusica. Designed by Ivano Gianola, the theater is an architectural wonder with its awe-inducing, modernist style glass facade that overlooks the Lake of Lugano. The center also houses the Art Museum of Italian Switzerland and is a hub for art and theater loving locals as well as tourists.
