Found at the height of 1,495-1,965 meters (4,908-6,449 feet), the capital of Indian State Meghalaya Shillong was referred to as the British as the "Scotland of the East". The unique feature of Shillong is that it is supposedly as the only hill station of India that can be accessed from all sides. People from all over India pay a visit to Shillong because of its pleasant climate and popular tourist attractions.
