Tecklenburg is located about 60 kilometers (37 miles) away from the Dutch border on the west. It sits on the Teutoburg Forest in North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony. This historic town is home to the mid-13th century Burg Tecklenburg. Some of the other attractions are Kulturhaus von Tecklenburg, Tecklenburg open-air theater, Doll Museum and the Cistercian and Abbey Museum.
