TOURIST ATTRACTIONS & SIGHTSEEING, PRACTICAL INFORMATION
It is believed that Günzburg was settled on the banks of the Danube as far back as 70 BCE by the Romans. The historic city, then a small settlement, is now classified as a major town or Große Kreisstadt, and is the capital of its namesake district. Its attractions include its beautifully-preserved Altstadt or Old Town and the Reisenburg Castle; however, its main draw is the Legoland theme park, located in the town's outskirts.
