Located on the German-Austrian border, Reit im Winkl is a beautiful little village on the south eastern part of Bavaria, Germany. Also renowned as a scenic spot along the Deutschen Alpenstraße route, this alpine town hosts outdoor activities around the year. In the colder months, it is a favored winter sport destination and an idyllic spot for trekking and hiking during the summer months. Swimming and fishing are other outdoor activities visitors can indulge in, in one of the three Alpine lakes in town. Additionally, it is also known for its fresh regional produce and dairy products.
