A prominent stop on the Fachwerkstraße or the German Timber-Frame Road, Eltville is the Rheingau region's largest town. This riverside city, although best known for its fragrant vineyards and equally fragrant rose garden, is also home to several historic and architectural treasures. The 14th Century St. Peter's and Paul's parish church, the Burg Eltville from the same time period, and the Eberbach Abbey make up some of this town's most notable attractions.
