This is a popular venue for local bands, even if there is little variety on the type of music that is played here. It is also a common site for tourists to visit as it is built on the ruins of the original Roman Bath, for which viewing times are limited. Not the most tasteful of pubs, the wall-to-wall paintings of bathing Romans are a touch on the tacky side. The seating and lighting also help to give it that airport waiting area feel. Drinks are mainstream brands and are not the cheapest in York. The range of food offered consists of such delights as omelets, pies and sandwiches.
