TOURIST ATTRACTIONS & SIGHTSEEING, PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Ottensheim lies directly on the River Danube and is embedded in a beautiful landscape of rolling hills. Due to its idyllic location, this town has many hiking and cycling paths. Avid cyclists can ride along the Danube Cycling Path and revel in the spectacular views of other riverside towns. Overlooking the river is the privately-owned castle Schloß Ottensheim. Guided tours are discouraged here, however the castle can be admired from a distance.
