Situated at an elevation of 8,367 feet (2,550 meters) within its namesake town, Grand Lake is known to be Colorado's largest natural water body. The lake covers an area of 507 acres (205 hectares), and its shoreline provides exquisite views of the surrounding lush green forests and the stunning snow-capped mountains. Fishing enthusiasts can fish for trout, salmon and mackinaw in this marvelous lake. Visitors can also indulge in a wide variety of water activities like swimming, paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking and sail boating.
