The sandy beach runs parallel to Beach Avenue road dotted with Victorian-style houses and B&Bs; it features a paved boardwalk with benches. The beach is located just a few minutes' walking distance from the historic district and Washington Street mall, thus making it one of the easily accessible beaches in the city.
