Established in 1983 to protect the manatee species in Florida, Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge is a beautiful natural park spanning over 80 acres (32 hectares) of pristine vegetation. The protected region includes Kings Bay and Three Sisters Springs, which provide ideal habitat for more than 500 manatees during the season. The park is accessible only by boat or kayak.
