Harrisville

Tucked away against a picturesque, bucolic backdrop of the Monadnock region, Harrisville is a quaint little town that exudes an old-world charm. Initially known as "Twitchell's Mills", Harrisville traces its history back to the time when a combination of a gristmill and sawmill was built here in the 18th Century. After it got its first railroad, the community flourished as a thriving textile town. Today, Harrisville is home to a number of ponds and lakes such as Harrisville Pond, Skatutakee Lake, and more.
