Bellagio

Bellagio is like the prow of a ship, fighting off the waters of the Lario. At the tip of the peninsula, sits this town on the lake. On the one side, it is green, with the famous town of Como and on the other side, by Lecco, there are rocky mountains. This geographical characteristic has Bellagio in its center. The views are continually changing from the quiet Tremezzina to Menaggio in the west, to a view of Grigne with mountains and vegetation that is reminiscent of the glacial origins of the lake on its eastern side. Further up is Villa Serbelloni, which was once a castle. There are souvenir shops here and stairways that lead to the higher part of town, old houses, the churches of San Giacomo, San Giovanni, Santa Maria di Loppia, the hotels and villas such as Villa Melzi.
