The famous Hofbräuhaus is only to be found in Munich. However, there is also something Bavarian to be found in Heidelberg (at least by name): the Bayrische Hof (Bavarian Court). It is located directly opposite the beginning of the pedestrian zone that leads directly through the Old Town to the Castle. The hotel itself lies at the lively Bismarckplatz, yet here it is by no means a disadvantage: the silence for the guests inside is ensured by sound-proofed windows. The interior is partly modern and, in accordance with the name, to a great extent in a rustic country style. It is only natural that original Bavarian beer from a Munich brewery is served.
