Heavenly is a mountain ski resort located on the Southern shore of Lake Tahoe. This marvelous ski resort boasts of having the longest mountain descent with a vertical drop of 3,500 feet (1066.8 meters) and 4,800 (1900 hectares) of land for skiing. Not only is it a world-class resort for winter sports, but the summer months are filled with hiking, horseback riding and all-terrain vehicles rides. The lift service here is worth experiencing as it touches a peak height of 10,040 feet (3,060 meters). However this resort is not just for skiing, as there are also several casinos, shopping centers, restaurants, a nightclub and loads of other activities available here. You may either make a day-trip out of a visit to this beautiful ski-resort or purchase a lodging and vacation package for a longer stay.
